If you have decided to take up diving it is high time to talk about the first steps you need to take. Before you dive into the experience, consult your doctor if you are worried about any of your conditions preventing you form enjoy the sport fully. Maybe there are precautions you will need to take. Diving presupposes staying underwater for considerable stretches of time so it is wise to consult your PG to have a green light officially. Also it is nice to research and read online about the sport and the courses available in your area. Come up with a budget that will include courses fees, equipment and travel expenses and try to stay within its limits. In terms of equipment there are many places you can go to in order to get the best stuff possible, if you are pressed for money you can get second-hand gadgets but we suggest you invest well into your first set of tools which you can spend a long time with. For the beginning you will definitely need your breathing gear, dry suits, fins and a mask. The other fancy stuff like underwater cameras and computers can wait. The important thing is that you keep your mind open and learn as much as you can.
